On an A4 the catalytic converter is bolted to the turbocharger and then the exhaust begins with the downpipe. Unlike most other aftermarket exhausts the APR exhaust includes a downpipe. This exhaust is very quiet and simply changes the tone of the exhaust to a deep unobtrusive sound. With TIG welding, fully stainless construction, mandrel bends and CNC'd hangers; you will not find a higher quality system on the market. Once our inventory is depleted, so will this sale.

ARP uses premium grade 8740 alloy that is rated far superior to that of supposed "aircraft" quality. All Pro Series ARP2000 studs are centerless ground, heat treated prior to thread rolling and machining, and are nominally rated at 220,000 psi. These fasteners deliver a 40% increase in tensile strength over the OEM Torque to Yield (TTY) bolts. All bolts are precision centerless-ground and thread-rolled to Mil-S-8879 specs. Each utilizes a black oxide finish that protects them from wear and corrosion.

Obtaining the optimum cylinder head-to-block sealing is critical in small displacement engines employing high compression pistons or engines that utilize high pressure outuput from forced induction

The OEM volkswagen cylinder head bolts have to be replaced every time they are removed. These ARP studs are made to be re-used, and offer greater protection against failure when compared to OEM bolt setups

NOTE - these head studs do NOT use the factory 6-point tool for tightening. Do not use the factory tigntening torques or procedures for these head studs, instructions supplied!

42 Draft Designs Needs A Test Car In MD: FSI/TSI Jetta posted by 42 Draft Designs » More Deals


42 Draft Designs is currently in need of a test car to complete our FSI/TSI exhaust lineup. We're approaching the final release of our 2.5" & 3" cat-backs and turbo-backs for the MK5 FSI/TSI. We need a JETTA to complete the tip portion of our systems. Details:

The car must be an FSI/TSI Jetta with stock downpipe installed. Stock exhaust would be helpful, but not necessarily required.

We need the car for at least a week M-F. Owner must be able to leave vehicle with us for the whole week.

We will be test fitting 3 different cat-backs and building new tip sections for all 3. We will also be creating a resonator delete pipe for the Jetta stock exhaust. Extensive sound clips will be taken by video of any and all exhaust configurations. Pictures will be taken of all tip configurations (hope for sunlight!)

Owner will drive away with whatever exhaust configuration you like best. No money will change hands.

R32 vs Ferrari 360 modena DYNO posted by Euro Sport Accessories, Inc. » More Deals


I got an opportunity to dyno test a 2001 Ferrari 360 Modena Spyder (F1 transmission) and wanted to share the results with a VW R32 dyno just for fun. It was interesting to see that the R32 has more power down low in the rpm range.

So here is the tech info of 3 cars...

-2001 Ferrari is 100% stock
-2004 R32 100% stock (my car)
-2004 R32 all bolt-ons NA (QBNs car)...thanks buddy

I seperated the Horsepower and Torque graphs and kept them seperate for easier clarity.
